Cactus Parameters Request : IOBasic

Parameters in Cactus can be either fixed or steerable. Steerable parameters are those which can be modified during a simulation. To change steerable parameters, edit the values and press the submit button. Before applying the new parameter value, Cactus will check that the parameter lies in the allowed range. Note that there is currently no log of parameters which have been modified.

The tables below show the parameter name, current value and description. The default value of each parameter is shown in brackets at the end of the description.

Steerable Parameters

The following parameters are steerable, but you do not have authorisation to change them. To change parameters you must first register on the Simulation Control Page.

out_format	.13f	Which format for Scalar floating-point number output (.13f)
outInfo_dt	-2	How often to do Info output (-2)
outInfo_every	10	How often to do Info output (-1)
outInfo_reductions	minimum maximum	List of reductions to output as Info to screen (minimum maximum)
outInfo_vars		Variables to output as Info to screen ()
outScalar_dt	-2	How often to do Scalar output (-2)
outScalar_every	10	How often to do Scalar output (-1)
outScalar_reductions	minimum maximum norm1 norm2	List of reductions to output into files (minimum maximum norm1 norm2)
outScalar_vars	wavetoy::phi	Variables to output into files ()

Fixed Parameters

out_dir		Output directory for IOBasic's scalar files, overrides IO::out_dir ()
outInfo_criterion	iteration	Criterion to select Info output intervals (iteration)
outScalar_criterion	iteration	Criterion to select Scalar output intervals (iteration)
outScalar_style	xgraph	Which style for Scalar output (xgraph)
