[Users] CalTech Intel compiler installation

Hi,

The Intel 8 compilers at the CalTech TeraGrid machine aren't installed
very well. Projects with mixed C and Fortran can't find libraries without
explicit file paths.

Both the C and Fortran compilers should be installed in the same
directory.  (The installer doesn't enforce this or make the issue clear,
unfortunately.)  See the compiler70 installation for a model.  I would
suggest to put them in /usr/local/Intel/compiler80.

Also, if it's possible to install the 8.1 Intel compiler on that machine,
it would be good for the purposes of our group.
