Yes, these operators contain some errors.  They are also hand-written,  
containing much duplicated code for the different data types.  Some  
time ago we prepared a version which uses the C preprocessor to  
emulate templates, simplifying the code considerably.  Unfortunately  
this project didn't proceed, I believe because there are some missing  
parts in the new reduction interface for mesh refinement.
