You have probably two simulations writing to the same file at the  
same time.

If you are running on Peyote: This machine has currently problems  
stopping jobs.  If a job has vanished from the queue, it may continue  
to run (and slow down other jobs).  One remedy is to never re-use old  
output directories; always choose new directories with new names.
