Hi Hugh,

the thorn documentation of CactusPUGH/PUGHSlab describes the 
implementation of the Cactus hyperslabbing spec 
http://www.cactuscode.org/specs/Hyperslab.txt.

As a simple example of how to use it I'd suggest to have a look at thorn 
CactusExamples/SampleIO.
