Cactus Tutorial
This tutorial gives a practical introduction to Cactus,
describing its design requirements and their realisation, its
architecture and the tools and capabilities it provides. We
illustrate how Cactus provides easy access to cutting edge
software technologies, such as the GridLab Grid Application
Toolkit, HDF5 parallel I/O, adaptive mesh refinement, remote
steering and visualisation and interaction with Grid portals.
Attendees will be guided from the initial download of the Cactus
software, to the creation and testing of a simple module.
The tutorial will be held in Room 101 of the Frey Building and
will run from 9am to 12pm.
